Mint & Print is Back

Mint & Print (MAP), the biennial industry conference previously run by the Banque du Liban in Beirut, is back for 2021, but this time taking place in Dubai.

Organised by Mazen Hamdan, Managing Director of International Mint & Print (IMAP) and former Head of Cash Operations at the Bank, the fifth edition will be held 23-25 November at the JW Marriott in Dubai. Some 60 central banks are expected to attend, along with participants from 30 industry sponsors representing paper mills, mints, printers and processing companies.

The agenda will be arranged in sessions covering: 

  • Effects of COVID-19 on the cash cycle

  • Origination materials

  • Security features

  • Substrates and banknote durability

  • Banknotes and coins production and processing CBDCs.

The first day of the conference, ie 23 November, will comprise closed sessions for central banks only. The next two days will be open to all participants.
