WBS Announces Agenda

The World Banknote Summit (WBS) has announced the programme which, due to COVID, will be held online on 22-24 November.

According to the organisers, the focus of WBS is not on touching all bases or providing a general overview, but about getting to the heart of the issues that are of paramount importance to the payments industry, in particular:

1. How can we turn banknotes into a more effective, efficient and above all competitive form of payment?

2. What does the payment landscape of the future look like and how do banknotes fit into this?

Learnings from COVID-19

The chief cashiers of the central banks of Poland, Namibia and Mexico will explain how they experienced the outbreak of the pandemic and answer the question of how well they were prepared for this shock, what the biggest challenges were during the pandemic, what key lessons were learned and what measures have been taken to be prepared for the future.
