Major Order from India for CPS

Cash Processing Solutions (CPS) has announced a multimillion-pound contract to supply Single Note Inspection Systems to the Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Ltd (SPMCIL).

The contract was won through a competitive tender process, with the CPS being selected to design, manufacture, test, supply, install and commission four CPS 9000™ Single Note Inspection Systems during 2022.

The CPS 9000 Single Note Inspection System was developed to meet the demanding needs of banknote printing works, enabling banknotes produced to meet the defined quality standard.

It processes banknotes at speeds of 2,400 per minute. Banknotes that meet the defined quality standard are strapped into packets and optionally bundled, labelled and wrapped. Banknotes that have failed to meet the inspection criteria are securely destroyed by the fully integrated on-line shredder or stacked for review and off-line destruction.
