Ida Wolden Bache, currently Acting Governor of Norges Bank, has now been appointed Governor, after NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced he would not take on the role, his appointment having been announced in early February as the successor to Øystein Olsen. He was due to leave NATO later this year, but his mandate has been extended for a further year due to the crisis caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Rhee Chang-yong, currently the director of the Asia and Pacific Department at the IMF, is to be the next Governor of the Bank of Korea, succeeding Lee Ju-yeol, who is stepping down after serving two terms.
The Central Bank of Kuwait has appointed Basel Al-Haroun as the next Governor for a five year term. He will replace Muhammad Yousef al-Hashel, who has held the position since 2012.
Patrik Andersson has informed the Board of Loomis that he intends to end his operative career and resign as President and CEO of Loomis, a role he has held since 2016. His successor is Aritz Larea, who is currently President of Loomis USA, and who will take up his new position in August. Replacing him is Björn Züger, currently Country President of Loomis Switzerland and Regional Vice President for Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
Brinks has announced that Mark Eubanks, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed President and CEO, effective 6 May 2022. At that time, Doug Pertz, who has served as President and CEO since July 2016, will transition to Executive Chairman of the Board.
Mike Lee, CEO of ATMIA, has announced that he will retire in June, after serving with the industry association for 21 years. ATMIA has put together a CEO search committee to find his replacement, and aims to do so by June.
