JUMP™ – A Giant Leap Forward for Banknote Security and Beauty

Several studies have revealed how overt security features are not only more efficient, but are easy to recognise and authenticate, when they are well integrated in the banknote design.

Such a process increases security to another level without compromising their existing technical complexity, and as a result, contributes to a complete and durable counterfeit resilience. Moreover, the integration of these overt security features complement one another, supporting a narrative that runs through every aspect of the banknote.

Two companies that are working together to ensure banknotes tell a story that connects positively with all facets of the cash cycle are Giesecke+Devrient and SICPA, stating that their JUMP™ approach opens a new chapter in banknote design and integration. The approach combines several striking security features that, when the note it tilted, bring it to life through the interaction of SPARK® technology and, for example, Louisenthal’s RollingStar® LEAD Pure foil.
