G+D Symposium Focuses on Topics Driving Cash
Giesecke+Devrient will be holding its customer event – the G+D Currency Technology Symposium – from 17-20 July at its headquarters in Munich.
Normally a biennial event, but suspended due to the pandemic, this is the first one since 2019.
According to G+D, the Symposium will highlight the most driving topics of today, to shape the tomorrow of public currencies – specifically, resilience, innovation, CBDC, banknote security and sustainability. G+D are long term players in the industry, and recognised for leading the pathways of innovation and security. Two of the days will be dedicated to a central bank program, and two to a commercial program.
The agenda will feature keynotes, presentations, workshops, break-out sessions and panel discussions, with presenters not only from G+D, but external speakers and partners as well. Some of the topics covered include:
The Value of cash for society
Sustainability and Repurposing
Innovation & new currency technologies
Banknote Security and Technology
Resilience and efficiency in the Cash Cycle
CBDCs and the way forward
There will also be panel discussions on resilience and efficiency, and the value of cash for society.
