Spectra Systems Reports Record Revenue
Spectra Systems Corporation, a player in machine-readable high-speed banknote authentication, gaming security, and brand protection, has reported its highest profitability since inception in its recently announced annual results for 2025.
Revenue increased 30.7% to $64.28 million, compared to $49.19 million in 2024. This growth far exceeded the modest 3.4% increase of the previous year. Adjusted EBITDA rose 82.9% to $27.3 million, while adjusted profit before tax more than doubled to $25.24 million.
The primary engine behind this record year was the Physical and Software Authentication segment. Revenue in this division rose to $42.72 million (2024: $30.95 million), and adjusted EBITDA to $24.9 million (2024: $13,299), fuelled by $22 million in sensor production recognition and $7.34 million in related hardware sales. These sensors are part of a major development contract for a central bank, scheduled for completion in 2026.
Meanwhile, the Secure Transactions Group (gaming software) achieved a turnaround. After a narrow loss in 2024, the group recorded revenue of $3.8 million and adjusted EBITDA of $1.9 million in 2025. Spectra expects this momentum to continue, with EBITDA contributions projected at $0.5–0.8 million in 2026.
