Azerbaijan`s Upgraded 100 Manat

The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CBA) has announced the issue of an upgraded 100 manat banknote, which will go into circulation on 15 July. According to the CBA, the upgraded 100 manat is more than a means of payment – it is a visual representation of Azerbaijan’s economic progress, national identity, and modern statehood.

Developed within the main concept theme of ‘Independent Azerbaijan’, the renewed banknote highlights the country’s economic achievements and its development, while introducing a refined artistic style and modern security technologies.

The redesign reflects both continuity and innovation, preserving the symbolic meaning of the original note while adapting it to contemporary aesthetic and technical standards.

The main motif of the upgraded banknote is ‘Economy and Development’. Through its artistic composition, the note symbolises Azerbaijan’s transformation into a modern and dynamically developing economy. Its visual language emphasises: economic growth, technological progress, integration into the global economy and financial stability.
