- Ante Žigman has begun a six-year term as Governor of the Croatian National Bank. He began his career at the central bank, but has also worked at the Ministry of Finance and at commercial lenders. He takes over from Boris Vujčić, who has been appointed Vice President of the European Central Bank.
- Nizar Nasser Hussein has been appointed Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq. He succeeds Ali Mohsen Al-Alaq.
- The Governor of Bank Indonesia, Perry Warjiyo, has unexpectedly resigned due to personal reasons. Senior Deputy Governor Destry Damayanti will serve as Acting Governor until a replacement is elected.
- Johnny Ohisa has been dismissed as Governor of the Bank of South Sudan, having taken over in January in what was his third stint (he was first appointed in 2022, dismissed in 2023, reappointed in 2024 and then dismissed again in 2025). His successor is Addis Ababa Othow, who previously served as Governor between June and November 2025.
- Victoria Cleland, Chief Cashier at the Bank of England, is retiring. Her replacement is Rhys Phillips, who joined the Bank in 2012, and will take up his appointment in October. Ms Cleland will continue as Special Adviser to the governors and Chairwoman of the Retail Payments Infrastructure Board, until she leaves the Bank next spring.
- Samson Yuen has retired as Division Head, Currency and Settlements, at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. His successor is Lawrence Cheung.
- Sundar Murthi has been appointed Managing Director of Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited (BRBNMPL. He previously served as Chief General Manager-in-Charge, Department of External Investments and Operations at the Reserve Bank of India, and replaces Mahesh Kumar Mall.
- Indonesia’s state security printer PERURI has appointed retired Lt Gen Teguh Arief Indratmoko as its new President Director, replacing Dwina Septiani Wijaya.
- The new Acting Director of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing is Michael Brown, a businessman and Chairman of Kansas Republican Party. He replaces Patty Solimene (Collins), whose departure in April was reported to be due to differences with the Trump administration over a commemorative banknote bearing the President’s image.
- Nikki Strickland, Group Strategy Director for De La Rue, has taken on the additional, and newly-created, role of Assistant Director for the International Association of Currency Affairs (IACA), serving in a support and advisory capacity to the Board Chair and Executive Director. The position was established to support IACA’s continued growth and the expanding scope of its programs, research initiatives, member services, and industry engagement.
