Tenders, Contracts and MOUs

• Q&T Hi-Tech Polymer has signed a contract with Vietnam’s National Banknote Printing Plant (NBPP) to supply polymer substrate for the 200,000 dong denomination. The award takes the company to five of the six denominations in Vietnam’s circulating polymer series and comes three years after Q&T made its first commercial delivery. Prior to then, all polymer banknote substrate was imported.

Q&T has been awarded the contracts one tender at a time rather than under a single framework agreement. Since the first contract for the 20,000 dong note, it has completed more than 10 supply contracts with NBPP, covering the 10,000, 20,000, 50,000, 100,000 and now 200,000 dong denominations.

• The Central Bank of Malta has published a new open tender (CBM 08/2026) for the provision of coin minting services and related packaging, with an estimated contract value of €3.34 million.
