Before we had generative AI, we could analyse, predict, and optimise. However, it was not possible to reason across huge information sets or unstructured information, build adaptive systems, automate complex knowledge work, generate content or personalise at scale.

In 2023 the Mint Directors’ Association organised a webinar where Adity Berlia (www.linkedin.com/in/aberlia/) spoke about using AI, based on company data only, to meet the needs of a fictious invitation to bid for a new coin design. The AI created a design, produced a costing and wrote a bid document at the direction of and with input from the company. It was a shocking demonstration of the power of AI.
