CCL Wins in Vietnam
CCL Secure has been awarded a tender by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) to supply GUARDIAN™ polymer substrate for the 200,000 dong (VND) denomination.
The award, it says, reflects the SBV’s continued commitment to ensuring the quality, durability and security of its circulating currency. The VND 200,000 note plays an important role in everyday transactions across the country, where robust performance and long circulation life are essential.
Vietnam has been a long-standing user of polymer banknotes, adopting GUARDIAN™ substrate in 2003 as part of a strategic programme to enhance note quality, improve lifespan in circulation, increase resistance in a humid climate, and strengthen public confidence. Over two decades, polymer has become the foundation of the country’s high-value denominations.
Neil Sanders, Vice President and Managing Director of CCL Secure, said: ‘we are privileged to continue our long-standing relationship with the State Bank of Vietnam. This award reflects the Bank’s ongoing focus on maintaining a durable, secure and efficient currency in circulation. We value the trust placed in us and remain committed to supporting the central bank with consistent quality and reliable supply.’
