Krypten Plans Release of 3D-GRAM® CONTRUST

Next month, Russian secure hologram company producer KRYPTEN will introduce the 100/50 Nobelists house note, featuring a new 3D-GRAM® CONTRUST photopolymer security patch for use on paper and polymer banknotes.

To create security photopolymer holograms, special materials and technologies are required to protect their bright colours and visual effects both during the production of the security element and when they are applied onto banknotes or ID cards. 3D-Gram® holograms use the ultrathin photopolymer from Covestro, a worldwide supplier of polymer materials.

3D-Gram technology creates elements with different optical effects – parallax, flip-flop of colours and images, shimmer effects, micro-lenses with kinetic effect, or microtext. Familiar holographic effects become more distinct with the stable colours of the image, which are available in red, green, or blue.

CONTRUST stands for ‘contrast you can trust’. The 3D-GRAM CONTRUST security patch on the Nobelists house note is described by KRYPTEN as a striking and catchy element – involving realistic images, pure colours and a dynamic colour-chairing effect – to provide incredibly simple and unambiguous identification of authenticity.
